3D Animation Course

Intent:

This is a self-directed media course of studies for students in grades 11 and 12.

Maya® 3D animation software offers a comprehensive creative feature set for 3D computer animation, modeling, simulation, rendering, and compositing on a highly extensible production platform. Maya now has next-generation display technology, accelerated modeling workflows, and new tools for handling complex data.

Students will develop a plan to implement 3D animation techniques and motion capture to create a short animation video.  Students will need to develop the following three requirements of media production:  pre-production, product and post-production.  Students must develop a plan of action, including due dates, assessment, project, etc) and document the learning process,
